Some Fun Activities for the Easter Holidays
Hello Dosbarth Conwy and Vardre. Both Miss Davies and Mrs Morris miss you very much! We hope everyone is trying to be the best that they can be at home and having a good time! Just in case you are having trouble of thinking of things to do while we are out of school – here are some ideas for you! Please remember to look on here for more ideas – we will add more over the next few weeks!
Why don’t you make a role play area in an area of your house. It doesn’t have to be a big space. It could even be in your child’s bedroom. Use things from around the house. Use sheets to make a tent, stick paper up so that they can draw, turn under their bed into a cave, make a roleplay area outside! Let their imaginations be your guide. Talk to them about school and what do they like in the role-play area in their class? Since September – we have had a building site, a café, Miss Polly’s house, a bus (Wheels on the bus), Doctors, flower shop, pirate ship. Maybe your child has a favourite book – could you make a role play area out of that story??
Have you made a rainbow to put in your window yet? You could use different colour papers/materials and glue them on a piece of cardboard; you could paint a rainbow; you could colour in a rainbow with crayons, felt pens or colouring pencils. Rainbows in windows are making people feel very happy – so why don’t you try and make someone smile by putting a rainbow in the window too!!
We love the story about the Gingerbread man! What about making and decorating your own biscuits?!
Why not do some cooking – make your own pizza base (or use a wrap) you can top it with anything you like. Mrs Morris’ favourite in chicken, onion, mushrooms and garlic. Miss Davies likes ham and pineapple! What is yours?
We all have painted in school – but have you painted with food? Why not try and guess what the different food are by looking at them and then smelling them?
What about making your very own roleplay area at home – here we have a shop! Why not make a doctors or a vet – you could make anything!!
Some easy ways to make homemade playdough and moonsand!
